5893Å is a zine of poetry and photography printed exclusively in black and orange– except for where white LED streetlights are featured. Throughout the course of the zine, the bright white becomes apparent as an intrusion on the harmony of the page and in conjunction with the poetry included invites reflection on suburban identity, the consequences of technological progress, and humanity’s place in the natural world.
