A space for print, publishing and local people. Cailleach Books is an experimental and mobile bookshop concerned with the distribution of DIY publishing, zines, book objects and poetry pamphlets from Ireland.

A cailleach is an Irish word for witch or crone, a multifaceted, folkloric character, and an inspiration for this project. Cailleach Books appears in many forms and iterations, an ever evolving bookshop space and practice.

The first iteration of Cailleach Books was launched for the month of June 2025 at the Kiosk Project Art Space and has since appeared at small press fairs, festivals, and artist-led studios and spaces.
