A space for print, publishing and local people. Cailleach Books is a new community bookshop project dedicated to experimental and DIY publishing, zines, book objects and poetry pamphlets from Ireland.

A ‘Cailleach’ is a witch, a deity and a crone, a multifaceted, liminal character, and an inspiration for this project. Cailleach Books appears in many forms and iterations, an ever evolving bookshop space and practice.

Cailleach Books launches this June at the Kiosk Project Art Space on Narrow West Street, Drogheda. Throughout the month, we will be selling publications and hosting reading events with the support of thirtythree.45 and Droichead Arts Centre.
