Bookshop Residency at the Seán Corcoran Series

Old Methodist Church, St Laurence St. Drogheda
Friday 5th September - Sunday 7th September

Cailleach Books is thrilled to announce a curated bookshop residency as part of the Seán Corcoran Series, a vibrant programme of traditional and multidisciplinary arts celebrating the life and legacy of Drogheda-born singer, fieldworker, documentary maker and vernacular musicologist musician, Seán Corcoran.

This occasion marks the second iteration of our bookshop, which will be housed in Drogheda’s Old Methodist Church. We are beyond excited to form a new bookshop in this incredible space and host an assemblage of zines, book objects and poetry pamphlets to browse and purchase. Cailleach Books will be open throughout the festival, from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th September 2025.

Unholy Ghost Zine: A Listening Party
Friday 4 July 6pm

Come join us for a very special zine listening party at Cailleach Books! To celebrate the debut of Unholy Ghost zine, we invite you to an in-store listening party of Dark Folk music from their first issue! We will be serving free drinks, and copies of Unholy Ghost will also be available to purchase on the night.

Unholy Ghost is made by Dubh Fēng Studio, Pocan from Drogheda & Siwi from Jingjiang, China. Dark Folk is an underground genre, and this zine was created to share some of the great music from it. It has a very community-driven scene and Unholy Ghost want to do their part to help it grow here in Ireland.

This will be our closing event at The Kiosk Project Art Space and we're delighted to share it with the zinemakers of Unholy Ghost. Make sure to pop in for one last chat and a drink!
