FOLDERS AND SEEKERS - JOSEPH BEUYS IN CONNEMARA by James Mansfield
FOLDERS AND SEEKERS - JOSEPH BEUYS IN CONNEMARA by James Mansfield
Folders and Seekers is the report of the 2019 Joseph Beuys in Connemara Residency. It contains a long essay about Naples, Joseph Beuys, Inis Meain, flatness, pleated landscapes and the problems caused by art history, written by James Mansfield. It also has a variety of images from the Beuys Haus during 2019, which fold into the text at inopportune moments.
The Imaginative Press began publishing in 2014. Since then it has produced over 30 pamphlets and catalogues. These fall into two main categories:
(1) The research projects of Dr James Lattin, former curator of the Museum of Imaginative Knowledge. Dr Lattin’s investigations have taken him from lay-bys to Newfoundland, with an enthusiasm for everyday objects.
(2) The investigations of James Mansfield, founder of the Imaginative Press. This includes the now concluded project on the time spent by Joseph Beuys in Connemara, and some related topics.
