GALALITH by Lauren Gault and Katherine Murphy

Galalith is an ongoing, collaborative unfolding project by artist Lauren Gault and curator Katherine Murphy. Following the exhibition at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios (19 May—02 July 2022), both artists were invited to design an extended publication which brings together a carefully curated constellation of responses to the exhibition.

The publication features an assembly of materials, objects and ephemera relating to its content and research. The ring bound publication is divided into five full colour sections showcasing images of the exhibition, offering a panoptic view of the show. When unbound and deconstructed, these sections fold out and can be pieced together to form a large format poster. Within each colour section is a Risograph printed booklet, housing contributor texts and supporting materials; a bag of galalith sample pieces, postcards, microfading data, bookmark, visual score, and a translucent solar panel replica.
